What you will be doing
Core PHP Development:
- Writing custom PHP code to extend and enhance WordPress functionality.
- Troubleshooting and debugging PHP code that interacts with WordPress.
- Customizing WordPress core features to meet specific project requirements.
WordPress Plugin/Theme Development:
- Developing custom plugins to add unique functionality to WordPress sites.
- Building custom WordPress themes that are tailored to specific design and functional requirements.
- Ensuring compatibility with the latest versions of WordPress and implementing best practices.
Optimization:
- Implementing techniques to optimize WordPress websites, such as caching, image optimization, lazy loading, and minimizing HTTP requests.
- Ensuring websites load quickly and efficiently across different devices and browsers.
- Addressing issues related to site speed, performance, and scalability to handle increased traffic.
Technical SEO:
- Conducting audits of websites for SEO performance, ensuring on-page elements like metadata, headings, and image alt text are optimized.
- Enhancing site structure, internal linking, and URLs to improve search engine crawlability and indexation.
- Implementing structured data (Schema markup) to improve search engine visibility.
- Using tools like Google Search Console and others to monitor SEO performance and troubleshoot issues.
MySQL Database Management:
- Managing and optimizing WordPress databases, ensuring they are efficient and perform well under load.
- Writing custom MySQL queries to extract data or update records as needed.
- Managing large datasets, optimizing table structures, and addressing database performance issues.
Communication:
- Collaborating with other team members, such as designers, content creators, and project managers, to ensure project requirements are met.
- Communicating technical details effectively to non-technical stakeholders, explaining complex issues in a simple and clear manner.
- Keeping clients or internal teams updated on the progress of projects, troubleshooting, and solving issues.
What We Expect You to Have:
- Strong knowledge and experience of PHP and how it interacts with WordPress.
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in creating custom plugins and themes.
- Experience in optimizing WordPress websites for speed, performance, and scalability.
- Expertise in technical SEO and on-site optimization strategies.
- Solid understanding and experience of MySQL for efficient database management and queries.
- Good Communications skills
- Shift timing: 2 PM to 11 PM (Need to be flexible working till 12 AM if needed)
